Meet the Founders

Meet the Founders:

Gaye R. Jenkins, Ed.D.:
Gaye is a lifetime educator. Born in England, her first degree was earned at the University of Sussex. Having taught at the secondary level in London, with k-16 teaching experience in the US, she enjoys bringing her depth of perspective to adult learners. Gaye believes that we all have a unique contribution to make to the global network, our local communities and to each other, and she is motivated to empower people to share and acquire language skills along with greater mutual understandings.

Gaye continues to be adjunct professor for Lesley University’s National Program, through which she earned her Master of Education degree in 1997.  Lesley changed her life. Through the skills and understandings learned in this educational journey, Gaye created the first multimedia student learning materials for the Reality Language® programs and with her colleague Molly, developed the COLA® instructional system LingoLynx trainers use today. The research base for Reality Language® came from her collaboration with a major Nevada school district and led to the dissertation for her Doctoral degree.

Loving life, laughter and the pursuit of learning, Gaye resides in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with her husband. She loves spending time with her vibrant, adult sons and her ‘extended family’, either at home or wherever in the world they are living.

Molly hails from St. Louis, Missouri and has lived in the small mountain town of Buena Vista Colorado since 1980. She has been involved in teaching and coaching all her adult life, and has made significant contributions to the lives of many in her community. Empowering those who do not necessarily rise to the top of the traditional educational system is one of her professional passions.
Molly has been instrumental in creating a highly successful adult bilingual GED program for inmate students within the local correctional facility and its boot camp.  This experience, along with her journey as a homeschool educator, has led her to a place of significant understanding of alternative ways to educate and to learn. Her passion for her students sets her apart. Earning a Master of Education degree from Lesley University has deepened her ability to apply multimedia techniques, materials and insights to student learning across all curricula.

Molly has two creative, successful adult sons and enjoys her home and being active in the outdoors with her husband. Health, exercise and organic gardening are central to her activities, and sharing times with family and friends are what she truly enjoys above all else.
